brindisi type by cucomaluco brindisi type by cucomaluco
This typeface was designed with generous x-box dimensions, a book weight and vertical stems with unusual endings that curve up to a sharp point, somewhat blurring the horizontal measures.
It has a good degree of readability for a sans-serif. I'm quite happy with the final result, even after all these years since its creation.

Really beautiful and original design. It looks modern yet something the humanist elements and calligraphic details make it look more orthodox. I would love to see Bold and Italic!

thanks for your kind comments. i think i'd have to make some adjustments before developing the italic and bold versions (they were begun, but not finished after i felt the original design needed some "fixing" - like the spacing among the superscript numbers and the relation of size of some of the main glyphs). i'm working on it. as soon as they are ready, i'll post something here.

I'm anxious to see them.

By the way, I realized the counter in 'A' is really small. Don't you have any problems with that at 11pt or so? I can imagine it will only get worse in the bold weight. I would lower the horizontal bar a bit.

Also, will this typeface ever become available for purchase or will it remain the publisher's exclusive typeface? I would love to use it someday myself.
